Who We Are
Jurie van Dyk is an experienced architectural professional who established his practice in 1999 in St Francis Bay.
With over 20 years of experience, he specialises in designing luxury residential houses with a keen understanding of local coastal conditions. His client base is 80% non-local or overseas, and his practice has invested heavily in technology to close the distance gap.
Jurie's extensive experience has given him the ability to listen to his clients' needs and translate them into beautiful, functional, and sustainable designs. He understands that a client's home is their sanctuary.
By leveraging the latest 3D technology and internet communications, Jurie works efficiently with clients regardless of location — resulting in a seamless and transparent experience.

My Perspective
I believe that as a designer, or artist, we have the power to influence the lives and well-being of others.
A beautifully captured and framed portrait on a wall will bring a moment of joy to a viewer every time they walk past it. In the same way that the photographer created artwork in a moment in time that will bring joy for a lifetime, so too will a well designed house influence the lives and well-being of its inhabitants.
Let's address one small aspect of a home design — orientation. If a house is poorly orientated it will be unbearably hot in summer and extremely cold and wet in winter. The inhabitants will dread spending time there. The negative influence that their surroundings impose will affect their well-being, even if only in a very small way.
On the other hand, if you live in a well designed house, that home becomes your sanctuary of well-being. You will look forward to coming home. I believe that a well designed house will positively influence its inhabitants and bring joy — and those individuals will go out into the world slightly happier.
I have always felt that my calling in life is to enrich the lives of others through good design.
